| Annual fee | ₹2,500 + GST |
| Fee waiver | Spend ₹4 lakh a year |

| Business earn | 5X on tax, GST, ads and bills |
| Transfer partners | 22 airlines and hotels |
Card overview
The HDFC Biz Power credit card (also written BizPower) is a ₹2,500 business card for self-employed Indians. It earns 5X reward points on the payments most businesses make every month anyway: income tax, GST, Google and Meta Ads, bill payments, business travel and software.
There’s one catch. The 5X doesn’t switch on by itself, so you’ll need to spend ₹25,000 on the card in a statement cycle (tax and GST don’t count) before the higher rate kicks in. Clear that, and Biz Power turns into one of the most rewarding cards you can get for ₹2,500.
And since July 2026, your points can go to 22 airline and hotel partners too. That’s rare at this price. It’s also the main reason everyone in the points community is suddenly talking about Biz Power.
Good to know: Biz Power is a business card, so it’s only for self-employed Indians. HDFC changed the earn rates in May 2026 and the lounge rules in July 2026. Everything below is up to date with both.
Reward point value at a glance
A Biz Power reward point doesn’t have one fixed value. What you get depends on where you use it.
~₹1.05 per point
Accor transfers at 2:1
₹0.65 per point
HDFC business catalogue
₹0.15 per point
Cashback on your statement
SmartBuy flights and hotels sit in between, at up to ₹0.50 a point. Here’s what that gap looks like in rupees. Spend ₹60,000 on 5X categories in a statement cycle and you earn 7,500 points. Take them as cashback and you get ₹1,125. Use them in the business catalogue and they’re worth ₹4,875. Same points, more than four times the value.

What’s in this guide
HDFC Biz Power credit card fees and charges
The HDFC Biz Power credit card costs ₹2,500 + GST to join and ₹2,500 + GST a year, and the renewal fee is waived if you spend ₹4 lakh on the card in the year.
You won’t pay the joining fee on day one, either. HDFC adds it to your bill 120 days after the card is issued, which gives you a few months to see how the card fits your business.
Is the Biz Power credit card lifetime free?
No, but it’s easy to make it free from the second year. The ₹4 lakh waiver works out to about ₹33,000 a month, and if you’re paying GST, ads and business bills on the card, you’ll probably cross that without trying.
| Charge | What you pay |
|---|---|
| Joining fee | ₹2,500 + GST (charged after 120 days) |
| Annual fee | ₹2,500 + GST, waived on ₹4 lakh spend in the year |
| Add-on cards | Free |
| Forex markup | 2% + GST |
| Paying in rupees abroad (DCC) | 1.75% + GST |
| Interest | Up to 3.75% a month (45% a year) |
| Cash withdrawal | 2.5% of the amount (minimum ₹500) |
| Late payment | Up to ₹1,300, depending on your balance |
| Rent, education apps | 1% fee, capped at ₹4,999 |
| Wallet loads above ₹10,000 a month | 1% fee, capped at ₹4,999 |
| Utility bills above ₹75,000 a month | 1% fee, capped at ₹4,999 |
| Fuel spends above ₹30,000 | 1% fee, capped at ₹4,999 |
The 2% forex markup is pretty standard for a card at this price. Travel abroad a lot for work? Then it’s worth keeping a second card with a lower markup for those trips.
HDFC Biz Power credit card eligibility
You’re eligible for the HDFC Biz Power credit card if you’re a self-employed Indian aged 21 to 65 with an annual ITR above ₹12 lakh.
| Requirement | What HDFC asks for |
|---|---|
| Who can apply | Self-employed Indian citizens |
| Age | 21 to 65 years |
| Income | Annual ITR above ₹12 lakh |
There’s no salaried route for this one. If you draw a salary, HDFC’s personal cards are a better place to look.
Documents you’ll need
- Your Income Tax Return (ITR)
- GST returns
- PAN and KYC details
- Bank statements, if HDFC asks for them during its checks
How to apply
- Start on HDFC’s website. Enter your mobile number and verify it, then add your PAN or date of birth.
- Check your details and pick the card. Choose Biz Power from the business cards on offer.
- Upload your documents. Your ITR and GST returns are the main ones.
- Finish video KYC. HDFC asks for it in some cases. Then it’s down to the bank’s approval.
How you earn Biz Power reward points
The HDFC Biz Power credit card earns 5 reward points per ₹200 on regular spends and 25 points per ₹200 on business spends like tax, GST, ads and bills, once you’ve unlocked the 5X for that cycle.
How the 5X works
The 5X has three rules. Get these right and the card does the rest.
- Unlock it first. Spend ₹25,000 on the card in a statement cycle, not counting income tax and GST. Once you do, every eligible 5X spend in that cycle earns 25 points per ₹200, including your tax and GST payments.
- Watch your tax payments. Only the first 2 income tax payments and the first 2 GST payments in a billing cycle earn points. Anything after that earns nothing, so it’s better to pay in fewer, bigger amounts.
- Know the cap. Accelerated points are capped at 7,500 per statement cycle.
Here’s an example. Say in one cycle you spend ₹20,000 on Google Ads and ₹10,000 on regular business purchases. That’s ₹30,000 of non-tax spending, so the 5X is on. Then you pay ₹30,000 of GST in one go.
- Google Ads plus GST come to ₹50,000, which earns you 6,250 points
- Your other ₹10,000 earns another 250 points
- Total: 6,500 points, worth ₹4,225 in the business catalogue
That’s a 5.3% return on ₹80,000 of spending, and most of it is money your business was spending anyway.
One more thing. If a refund or reversal drops your non-tax spends below ₹25,000 in that cycle, you lose the 5X for the cycle. Keep a small buffer above the line.
5X categories
| Category | How to pay for 5X |
|---|---|
| Income tax and advance tax | On eportal.incometax.gov.in |
| GST | On payment.gst.gov.in |
| Bill payments | Through PayZapp or SmartPay |
| Flights and hotels | MakeMyTrip MyBiz, through SmartBuy BizDeals |
| Business software | Nuclei, through SmartBuy BizDeals (Google Workspace, Tally Prime, AWS, Microsoft 365 and more) |
| Digital ads | Google Ads and Meta Ads |
| Electronics | Reliance Digital |
PayZapp bill payments for clubs, housing, rent, hospitals, education, donations, mutual funds, loans, credit card bills and wallet loads don’t get the 5X.
SmartBuy: Up to 10X
Biz Power works on HDFC SmartBuy too. HDFC offers up to 10X points on hotel bookings, MakeMyTrip, Apple (through Imagine and Tresor) and Myntra, and 5X on instant vouchers from brands like Swiggy, Shoppers Stop and Archies.
There’s a limit, though. SmartBuy points are capped at 4,000 a month, and the merchant list moves around a lot, so have a quick look on SmartBuy before you buy anything big.
Caps and what earns nothing
A few everyday categories still earn, but HDFC caps them at 2,000 points a month each. That’s insurance, groceries, utilities, and telecom and cable. RuPay UPI tops out at 500 points a month. And across the whole card, you can’t earn more than 60,000 points in one statement cycle.
Fuel, wallet loads, rent, education, EMI purchases and online gaming earn nothing at all. If you convert a purchase to EMI later, HDFC can take back the points you earned on it.
What your Biz Power reward points are actually worth
One Biz Power reward point is worth up to ₹0.65 in HDFC’s business catalogue, up to ₹0.50 on SmartBuy flights and hotels, and ₹0.15 as cashback. Move it to Accor at 2:1 and it’s worth around ₹1.05.
| How you redeem | Value per point | Return on 5X spends | Return on regular spends |
|---|---|---|---|
| Accor (2:1 transfer) | Around ₹1.05 | 13.2% | 2.6% |
| Business catalogue | Up to ₹0.65 | 8.1% | 1.6% |
| SmartBuy flights and hotels | Up to ₹0.50 | 6.3% | 1.3% |
| Product catalogue | Up to ₹0.35 | 4.4% | 0.9% |
| Cashback | ₹0.15 | 1.9% | 0.4% |
To check any redemption yourself, use this:
Value per point = what it would’ve cost in cash ÷ points used
Cashback is the easy option, but it’s also the worst one. At ₹0.15 a point, that shiny 5X shrinks to under 2% back. So if you take one thing from this page, let it be this: don’t cash out your Biz Power points.
Tip to make your PointsFly: on SmartBuy, you can pay for up to 50% of a flight or hotel booking with points. The rest goes on your card and earns points again.
How to redeem Biz Power points
- Where: log in to SmartBuy or HDFC NetBanking and go to the rewards section.
- Fees: HDFC charges ₹99 + GST per redemption, and ₹50 + GST for cashback.
- Limits: you can redeem up to 50,000 points a month on SmartBuy flights and hotels, and up to 50,000 a month as cashback.
- Expiry: points are valid for 2 years from the date you earn them.

HDFC Biz Power transfer partners
Since July 2026, Biz Power points transfer to 22 airline and hotel programmes through SmartBuy: 14 at 2:1 and 8 at 3:1.
| 2:1 (2 points = 1 mile or point) | 3:1 (3 points = 1 mile or point) |
|---|---|
| Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer | Qatar Airways Privilege Club (Avios) |
| Air France-KLM Flying Blue | British Airways Club (Avios) |
| Avianca LifeMiles | Air India Maharaja Club |
| Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles | Air Canada Aeroplan |
| United MileagePlus | Cathay Pacific Asia Miles |
| AirAsia Rewards | Etihad Guest |
| Finnair Plus | Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus |
| Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles | Marriott Bonvoy |
| SpiceJet SpiceClub | |
| Accor Live Limitless (ALL) | |
| IHG One Rewards | |
| Club ITC | |
| Radisson Rewards | |
| Wyndham Rewards |
Here’s why this matters. Once your 5X is on, every ₹200 you spend on GST or Google Ads earns 25 points. Move them to Accor at 2:1 and you get 12.5 Accor points, which are worth about ₹26.50. That’s roughly 13% back on a payment you had to make anyway.
Which partner gives you the most for your points? We’ve ranked them in our guide to HDFC Biz Power transfer partners.
Before you transfer
HDFC hasn’t published minimum transfers, maximums or timings for Biz Power, so check the numbers on SmartBuy before you start. Treat every transfer as final.
Golden rule: seat (or room) first, transfer second. Never the other way round.
HDFC Biz Power credit card benefits
The main Biz Power benefits are 5X points on business spends, a ₹5,000 voucher every quarter you spend ₹2.5 lakh, and lounge access that unlocks with spend.
Quarterly milestone
Spend ₹2.5 lakh in a calendar quarter and you get a ₹5,000 voucher from MakeMyTrip or Reliance Digital. That’s an extra 2% back on top of your points. Fuel, income tax, GST and EMI spends don’t count towards the ₹2.5 lakh.
Welcome benefit
Make one tax, travel or ads payment on the card within 30 days of getting the card, and you get Amazon Prime membership or a ₹1,500 Amazon voucher. It’s only for first-time cardholders, so upgrades and conversions don’t qualify.
Business travel and software
- SmartBuy BizDeals: 4% off flight and hotel bookings on MakeMyTrip MyBiz.
- Business software: discounts on Google Workspace, Tally Prime, AWS, Microsoft 365 and more through Nuclei on SmartBuy, with GST invoices.
Dining and bills
- Swiggy Dineout: 10% off your bill at 35,000+ restaurants.
- SmartPay: cashback of up to ₹1,800 in your first year when you set up automatic bill payments, plus up to ₹800 in vouchers for adding 2 or more bills.
Business insurance (optional, and paid)
You might see insurance listed as a Biz Power benefit. It’s an add-on you pay for, not free cover. HDFC offers 4 plans covering fire and burglary at your shop, cash in a safe or in transit, electronic equipment and hospital cash, priced from ₹3,785 to ₹28,185 a year, including GST.
Protection
If your card is lost and you report it straight away, you’re covered for fraudulent use under HDFC’s zero lost-card liability. HDFC’s card page lists credit liability cover of up to ₹9 lakh.
HDFC Biz Power credit card lounge access
Biz Power gives you 2 domestic lounge visits each quarter you spent ₹75,000 in the previous quarter, plus 6 international lounge visits a year through Priority Pass.
Domestic: 2 visits a quarter, unlocked by spend
Your domestic lounge visits depend on what you spent in the last quarter. Spend ₹75,000 or more between April and June, for example, and you get 2 visits to use between July and September.
The same ₹75,000 also gets you a Zero Cancellation voucher for MakeMyTrip. Normally you pay extra for MakeMyTrip’s Zero Cancellation add-on on a domestic flight. This voucher takes up to ₹1,200 off that fee, so you can book a flexible ticket for less.
International: 6 a year with Priority Pass
- How to get Priority Pass: apply after you’ve made at least 4 retail purchases on the card. Add-on cardholders can apply too.
- RuPay cards: you don’t need Priority Pass. Just show your RuPay card at eligible international lounges.
- Extra visits and guests: anything beyond your 6 free visits costs US$27 + GST per person.
If you’ve seen “16 domestic lounges a year” on an older HDFC page, that’s the old rule. The spend-based quarterly system has applied since 1 July 2026.
2026 updates at a glance
HDFC changed four things on Biz Power this year:
- From 15 May 2026: you now earn 5 points per ₹200 on regular spends and 25 points per ₹200 on business spends. HDFC says the accelerated rewards are worth 1.5X what they were before.
- From 15 May 2026: only the first 2 income tax and first 2 GST payments in a billing cycle earn points.
- From 1 July 2026: domestic lounges and the quarterly ₹5,000 voucher now depend on your spends in the previous quarter.
- From July 2026: points transfer to 22 airline and hotel partners through SmartBuy.
This page already reflects all four.
HDFC Biz Power credit card review: Our verdict
If your business pays GST, income tax or Google and Meta Ads on a card, Biz Power is one of the most rewarding ₹2,500 cards in India, as long as you clear ₹25,000 of other spends each cycle.
So is Biz Power a good credit card? For a business with steady monthly spends, yes. You’d likely cross the ₹4 lakh fee waiver anyway, the 5X turns money you already spend into points, and the new transfer partners mean those points can become flights and hotel stays instead of small cashback. It’s less useful if your card spends are mostly tax and GST with little else, because then you won’t unlock the 5X.
What we like
- 5X on tax, GST, ads, bills and business travel
- 22 transfer partners, rare for a ₹2,500 card
- ₹5,000 voucher every quarter at ₹2.5 lakh
- Fee waiver at a reachable ₹4 lakh a year
What could be better
- The 5X needs ₹25,000 of non-tax spends every cycle
- Only 2 income tax and 2 GST payments a cycle earn
- Domestic lounges now depend on last quarter’s spend
- 2% forex markup
A great fit if you run a business that pays GST, advertises online or books business travel, and you’re happy to redeem in the catalogue or transfer to partners.
A weaker fit if you’d mostly pay taxes on the card, spend little else, or plan to take your points as cashback.

HDFC Biz Power credit card FAQs
Is Biz Power a good credit card?
Yes, for self-employed people with regular business spends. It earns 5X points on income tax, GST, ads and bills once you spend ₹25,000 on non-tax payments in a cycle, and its points transfer to 22 airline and hotel partners. The ₹2,500 fee is waived if you spend ₹4 lakh in a year.
Is BizPower better than Regalia?
They’re built for different people. Biz Power is a business card for the self-employed, with 5X on tax, GST, ads and bills. HDFC’s Regalia cards are personal cards for salaried and self-employed people who want travel and lifestyle rewards. If most of your spending is business spending, Biz Power usually earns more.
What’s the difference between Biz Black and Biz Power?
Both are HDFC business cards. Biz Black is the premium metal card at ₹10,000 + GST a year, with bigger benefits to match, while Biz Power is the mid-range card at ₹2,500. If your business spends are moderate and you can reach ₹4 lakh a year, Biz Power gives you most of the earning power for much less.
How much is 1 Biz Power reward point worth?
One Biz Power reward point is worth ₹0.15 as cashback, up to ₹0.35 on products, up to ₹0.50 on SmartBuy flights and hotels and up to ₹0.65 in HDFC’s business catalogue. Transfer it to Accor at 2:1 and it’s worth around ₹1.05, which makes transfers the best value.
What is the Biz Power credit card limit?
There’s no fixed limit for the Biz Power card. HDFC sets your credit limit based on your income, your ITR, your credit history and your relationship with the bank. If you need more room for business spends, you can ask HDFC for a limit increase once you’ve used the card for a while.
Can I pay income tax and GST with Biz Power?
Yes. Pay income tax on eportal.incometax.gov.in and GST on payment.gst.gov.in, and Biz Power earns 25 points per ₹200 once you’ve unlocked the 5X. Only the first 2 income tax and first 2 GST payments in each billing cycle earn points. Our guide on paying income tax and GST with a credit card covers the steps.
How do I apply for Priority Pass on Biz Power?
Make at least 4 retail purchases on your Biz Power card, then apply for Priority Pass through HDFC. Add-on cardholders can apply too. You get 6 free international lounge visits a year. If you hold the RuPay version, you don’t need Priority Pass and can use the card directly.
Card terms change often. This page reflects HDFC Bank’s published terms as of 28 October 2026. Confirm current terms with HDFC Bank before applying.
PointsFly may earn a commission if you apply for this card through the link on this page. It does not change what we write, the figures above, or what the card costs you.
